Sharon Lum Cheung Ping

Like most of the people in a city, I did work for long hours without performing any exercise.  My health condition was deteriorated and I realized that I should perform some sports.  Among various kinds of sports, I had chosen Tai Chi, a commonly known exercise, which is suitable for any age.

I started to learn Tai Chi at Wu’s Tai Chi Chuan Academy Headquarters. Thinking of those persons playing Tai Chi in a garden, I thought that I had learnt “Tai Chi” if I completed the course for learning forms.  However, my concept on Tai Chi was totally changed when I met Sifu Eddie Wu Kwong Yu. Tai Chi should be called Tai Chi “Chuan” which is one of the most sophisticated martial arts.  It is composed of different kinds of theories, but not limited to medical science, philosophy, psychology, body mechanics etc. It is my honor to meet Sifu who is totally dedicated to teach Tai Chi Chuan in a structural and professional way.  He has led me to see the miracle world of Tai Chi Chuan, which I never think of.  Throughout several years’ of practice, I understand that the more you learnt, the more difficult it is. The more you learnt, the more challenging it is.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Sifu who has admitted me to one of the disciples in 2013.  In addition, I wish to thanks Si Kuo Tze Wu Hsia Fung, Sihing Eugene Heung, Sihing Jeff Chui, Sihing Henry Chong and all those senior who have provided me guidance and coached me with patience.
